The cups that are used in the treatment are made up of soft material like silicone. The professional cupping therapist applies some natural ointment, and then applies cups. These ointments produce lubrication which helps cups to slide around easily. This type of cupping is also known as gliding or massages cupping. The cups are applied on the face, forehead, and neck which create suction. These results in relaxing muscles and increasing the supply of blood. Now the therapist slides the cups all over the face like forehead, cheekbones, and under the eyes. The cups also glide over the left and right carotid.
